Description
The LR9G225 is an electronic thermal overload relay from Schneider Electric’s TeSys Giga range, purpose-built to protect high-power 3-phase motors from overload conditions. It offers a wide, adjustable current range of 57–225A and supports selectable tripping classes from 5E to 30E, allowing it to be tuned for fast-tripping applications, general-purpose motor protection, or high-inertia loads such as large fans and compressors that need a slower, more tolerant trip curve.
Beyond standard overload protection, the LR9G225 provides built-in protection against ground faults, phase imbalance, phase loss, and single-phase loads — giving comprehensive motor protection in a single device without needing separate monitoring relays. It supports both automatic and manual reset options, and a clear LED indicator shows motor-ON status as well as pre-trip alarm warnings, helping maintenance teams catch developing issues before a full trip occurs. Designed for direct mounting onto TeSys Giga (LC1G) contactors or independent plate mounting, with push-in control terminals for fast wiring, the relay carries an IP2X protection rating on its front face and operates reliably across −25°C to 60°C ambient temperatures up to 3000m altitude — making it well suited for heavy industrial motor control panels, pumping stations, and large HVAC or compressor installations.
