The ATV320U15M2C is a compact variable speed drive from Schneider Electric’s Altivar Machine ATV320 range, built to control both asynchronous and synchronous motors — including IE2, IE3, and permanent magnet (PM) motors — in complex machine applications. Rated at 1.5kW on a single-phase 200–240V supply, its compact form factor supports vertical stacking inside machine frames, helping panel builders save valuable cabinet space.
The drive comes with a Class C2 EMC filter integrated as standard (deactivatable for IT network installations), along with an integrated braking module for 4-quadrant operation without needing additional retrofit hardware. Multiple motor control profiles are supported, including voltage/frequency ratio (2- or 5-point), sensorless flux vector control, and energy-saving quadratic U/f modes, giving flexibility across a wide range of machine types. Built-in safety functions — STO (SIL 3), SS1, SLS, SMS, and guard door locking (GDL) — reduce the need for external safety relays and simplify machine safety design.
