Description
The LRD10 is a differential thermal overload relay from Schneider Electric’s TeSys LRD range, designed to protect 3-phase AC and DC motors against sustained overload conditions. It offers an adjustable thermal setting range of 4 to 6A with class 10A tripping characteristics per IEC 60947-4-1, and mounts directly under compatible LC1D contactors (LC1D09, LC1D12, LC1D18, LC1D25, LC1D32, LC1D38) to form a compact, space-saving motor starter assembly.
Beyond basic overload protection, the LRD10 includes built-in phase failure (loss) sensitivity, tripping at 130% of the adjustment current (Ir) if one phase drops to zero — a useful safeguard against the motor-damaging effects of single-phasing. It features a red push-button for stop and a blue push-button for switching between manual and automatic reset modes, along with a test function for simulating a trip during commissioning or maintenance checks. Rated for use up to 690V AC across a wide 0–400Hz frequency range, and operating reliably from −20°C to 60°C without derating, the LRD10 is a robust, field-proven choice for motor starters, pumping systems, compressors, elevators, and general industrial and conveyor automation.
