Description
The XS618B1PAL2 is a general-purpose cylindrical inductive proximity sensor from the Telemecanique/OsiSense XS range, built for reliable detection of metal targets in industrial and mobile equipment applications. Housed in a rugged M18 threaded, nickel-plated brass body with a PPS sensing face, the sensor offers an 8mm nominal sensing distance and is flush-mountable, meaning it can be installed level with a metal surface without loss of performance.
It features a 3-wire PNP discrete output (1 NO) that switches on detection of a metal object, operating on a wide 12–48V DC supply (10–58V DC limits) with reverse polarity, overload, and short-circuit protection. A yellow LED provides clear visual confirmation of output state. Fast response characteristics (0.3ms response delay, up to 1000Hz switching frequency) make it suitable for both simple presence detection and higher-speed automation tasks.
